Any
ideas you have for the choir please pass these along to any member of the Choir Team.
As in the past it takes a few rehearsals to get going as a choir. Therefore after each rehearsal we will be collecting in
music folders. We will not be assigning your folder number until things settle down after which you will be able to take music home. Music costs a bundle. Watch it!
After a rehearsal soon we will stop early for a “gettin’ to know ya” social. Stay tuned. We will regularly schedule a
social time in the rehearsal along the way as ice breakers.
We are investigating the possibly of continuing some
audio support for learning your parts. Hug Walt Sherry. Announcement soon.
Thanks as always for the following: perfume free..arriving on time...using reusable water
containers...focusing on director.

Good singing, Folks.

Choral Workshop !!

We are very fortunate that Alexandra Babbel will be coming up to Williams Lake on November 3rd to give a choral workshop to adult choir members. You can view her website at www.alexandra-babbel.com. Alexandra was our adjudicator for the Cariboo Festival this spring. We just loved working with her as choir members and as soloists.

Things are still in the works, but the workshop will be Saturday, November 3rd from 10-2:30ish. The cost is $30 a participant, payable to Quintet Plus. If you are from 100 Mile, a list of participants and a cheque can be mailed to me at 1850 Ross Rd, Williams Lake BC, V2G 5B3. My phone number is 250-392-5671. Details about lunch will follow. We will be working on 'The Hallelujah Chorus' and "The Water is Wide'. Both pieces are in public domain. I am working on a venue, and hope to have information about that this week.

Alexandra has also consented to give private lessons. These will be on a first come, first serve basis. Lessons are $63 for 45 minutes. She will work with you on repertoire, she will assess your voice type, and suggest suitable repertoire for you. I was thinking that 100 Mile people would have first pick of the Saturday lesson times, and Williams Lake people will be slotted into Sunday afternoon times.
